Michel currently resides in Alicante, Spain and travels to many impoverished and third world countries where he finds the many stories he tells in his brutally honest photographic and literary works.

He was born in 1960 in Paris, France and finished his studies at the 'Lycée Français' and graduated from the 'Escuela de Turismo', both in Alicante, Spain.

He has lived in Spain since 1975 where he founded one of the first spanish ISP (Internet Service Provider) called CTV (Centre Telematic Valencia) bought afterwards by a spanish division of France Telecom.

He started with photography in 1976 with a borrowed Rolleiflex camera and is currently a freelance photojournalist and a member of AFP (Asociación de Fotógrafos Profesionales de España / Association of Professional Photographers of Spain) as well as IPA. His photographic specialties include photographic subjects which include documentary, travel, nature, wildlife, people, glamour and press photos.

He is a hardened traveler who needs to photograph everything that moves him. This may include subjects from the plastic beauty of a landscape to the social injustices throughout the world. He is a socially involved photographer trying to sensitize people who view his work. He has the ability to recognize the critical innate predisposition to capture scenes in which the children suffer without enjoying the childhood they will never know but should know. There is always a little bit of Michel in each photograph, no matter what the content of that image.

When asked by IPA how he would define himself, Michel said, "I like to define myself like a "trip-and-circumstances-photographer". This is the reason why I try travel with the lightest available equipment, be unnoticed, and respectful to the people, animals and things I meet. Sometimes, I capture daily life and moments that I cannot obtain permission for before shooting, but always honor my subjects in all my work."
