How did it started?

After mutual consultation of 2 Kawasaki freaks Denis, and Stevie reached to a conclusion that there is not much “green” to see in the previous NBC (No budget cup) editions. That’s when they decided to establish a team and to take their chance by venturing with a green “Kawasaki zxr750”.

The next thing they did was to find a motorcycle which would fit to their concept and would entirely be appropriate to the spirit or guiding principle of the NBC. In no course of time, they found a zxr750 from 1991 which has a light damage on the front due to a slight accident. This was a machine with 100hp and a total dry weight of 200kg with its standard fabrication. It would need an update on its brakes and spring suspension. It needed a consequent trimming with all the unnecessary luxury. Everything which was superfluous has to be removed to make it as a lighter motorcycle. This was to go in line with the meaning of NBC: “to keep everything as cheap as possible”. The expectation was not to go over 1500 euro on expenses on all the repairs and re-assembling including its purchase.

What is their goal?

The team will do their best absolutely to win the races, after all it is a competition. Of course “having fun” is the main objective though; like what the cliché says: Winning is nice but taking part in the competition is more important. The team hopes that there will be no problems or breakdowns encountered with the engine of the Kawasaki zxr750. Definitely, Denis and Stevie will try to participate in every race possible.
