This year’s World Water Ski Racing Championship will be held in Belgium. There will be race competitions held in key cities: Gent, Genk, Antwerp and Viersel, where the best skiers in the world will participate and compete for the title.

Bianca Schauerhofer, belongs to the top 3 best skiers of Austria and is proud to represent her country. It is the second time for her to participate in a World Water Ski Racing Championship, an experience she will never forget, because to take part in such big international races is the dream of every skier.

The water in Belgian channels is wild and totally different from the calm water that Bianca is used to in Austria. She sees this year's championship as tough and very difficult, not only due to the water condition but also because she will have to compete against the world’s best skiers. But Bianca is ready for the race being super motivated and together with her team, they make a perfect combination. Comprising the rest of the team during this World Water Ski Racing Championship are Michel Borremans as pilot and co-pilot Ann van Olmen. They will race using the powerful speedboat of the "RG Technics85" team.

The previous world championship where Bianca participated was in the UK where most races were held at sea. There is a big difference for her between the sea, where there is a lot of space to ski, and the narrow and sometimes wild channels of Belgium. This is another big challenge for her. But Bianca has her "personal trainer" which will assist and help her to keep her conditions both physically and mentally on a perfect level.

Even after this World Water Ski Racing Championship, Bianca Schauerhofer will continue to be part of the water ski races in Belgium. Aside from the fact that she enjoys the atmosphere and the competitions in the Belgian & Benelux Championships, she also likes to ski on the wild water of the various channels.

Bianca represents her native country Austria with great pride and surely she will exert her best effort in the World Water Ski Racing Championship. We wish her good luck and we look forward to her race results.
