At least 54 vehicles participated in the third race of the Dunlop Maxx Endurance Cup. The 500 km of Zolder is a premier and stands behind the 10 Hours of Zolder, which is the longest race of the championship.

The BMW GTR V8 of Lamster/Neyens stood on the third start row and on the pole in Class 1. For the first time this season, the BMW got a competitor in Class 1. The trio Mattheus/Redant/Moonens rented the Aston Martin Vantage GT4 and won the race after the BMW GTR V8 had to give up the race early in the competition.

It turned out tougher in Class 2. Eleven Porsches and one Ultima had to prove which has to pull out at the longest end. When the start flag was lowered, the Ultima was the fastest from the start, but have to give up the lead to the hands of Vanierschot/Verbist. The Ultima afterwards took part in two collisions and was finally eliminated in the race because of exceeding the sounds limit. Van Rompuy/Van Rompuy took in their First-Porsche after a perfect competition the lead over and finished one round ahead of the Speedlover-Porsche of Jean-Paul De Coster/Van Loo/De Vocht.

The BMW diesel of Beliën/Cuyvers and De Doncker/De Nephew dominated the competition in Class 3. Beliën/Cuyvers obtained here a well-deserved victory. It was a successful debut, on the other hand, for the new MSE BMW 130i of Jef van Samang/Beckers/Van Manshoven, which came as sixth at the finish.

In Class 4, Vermeeren, French, Van the Broeck and Yellows were the fastest from the start. Van de Casteele and Vermeeren , dominated the whole competition, but just 20 minutes away from the chequered flag, the power source of the Renault Mégane went to pieces. This trouble open the way for the fast Dutch duo Masters/Poldermans in the Renault Clio who finally won the race.
